Curator (http://wecwicurator.blogspot.com) is a free reading program on WeCWI through exploring all related topics on language development through technology. The information published on Curator including text and images are curated from the Web, which have been found relevant to four major studies: language acquisition, composition studies, cognitive theories, and e-learning. Free reading is referred as sustained silent reading. To cultivate a good reading habit, learners are encouraged to visit Curator on a daily basis and read at least one article accessible from any on-screen resources.

Web-based Cognitive Writing Instruction (WeCWI)

Writing is the hardest language skill, which is also the most challenging skill for second language (L2) learners to master among students from secondary and tertiary educations. Based on the nine L2 writing challenges caused by the system, instructor, and learner or “SIL” (Mah, Irfan Naufal Umar, & Thomas Chow, 2013) as shown in the 1st figure, a critical review has been done on “learner” domain among the undergraduates from the largest university in Malaysia in terms of size and student enrolment.
